 NEW VERDE VALLEY ALR OFFICERS FOR 2010: Director: Ed Vanlandingham Ass't Director: Eric Stanford Secretary: Kate Baker Finance Officer: Valerie Rogers Sargent of Arms: Alvin Morris The next ALR meeting will be July 7, 2009 6:00 PM at Post 93 in Camp Verde. The E-Board met with the new Post 93 Commander Ron, and has lifted the 45 minute restriction and has expanded the seating area for the ALR meetings. A big thanks to RON. ANNUAL ALR SHOEBOX DRIVE: The Annual Shoebox drive is coming to a close. Please remember to get your stuff to one of the posts. For more information call Cindy at 928-301-1927 or Janet at 928-301-3094. Items may be dropped off at either Post 25 in Cottonwood or Post 93 in Camp Verde. PLEASE HELP OUR VETS. The shoeboxes will be delivered to the Vets at the Prescott VA Hospital on Saturday August 15, 2009 at the 4th ANNUAL Veterans Picnic. Everyone is invited. More information to follow. GOOD NEWS: Verde Valley ALR now has a total of 96 members. The 4th of July, ALR has two (2) parades we are riding in. First: Beavercreek at 9:00 AM. More info will be sent to members Second: Cottonwood parade is an evening on. 5:00 PM at Post 25 ending at the fairground for an evening of Military Presentations and fireworks. ATTENTION: 1st Annual ALR State ALR campout in Morman Lake is August 21-23rd. Catered Dinners Firday and Saturday. For reservations call 928-2227 Ext 10. Tell them you are with the ALR. There are cabins and camping available. Legacy Run is August 2, 2009, registration 8am-10am at Post 25 Cottonwood. Riders $15.00, passengers $10.00. Meal is included in the price plus there will be raffles and gifts. |
